collaborating, nurturing, flowing

Sacred Groves is a ten acre forest sanctuary located on Bainbridge Island, in Washington state, a small wilderness park where you can feel the sacredness of the earth. It’s a place to settle into the quiet, listen to the birds, watch the trees sway in the wind, re-establish connection with God, Goddess, Great Spirit, Great Mystery or whatever it is you call that ineffable power that underlies all of life.

a home for people committed to building a world where everyone belongs—we are bridge-builders and connectors: people committed to moving beyond the confines of 'us' vs 'them' to build a world where everyone belongs.

in our own way, each of us is working to bring that world into being, but we sense that it isn't enough. we recognize that what we are doing is both necessary and on its own insufficient to our broader goal of transforming the world.

building belonging

Microsolidarity is a community-building practice. We're weaving the social fabric that underpins shared infrastructure.

The first objective of microsolidarity is to create structures for belonging. We are stitching new kinship networks to shift us out of isolated individualism into a more connected way of being. Why? Because belonging is a superpower: we’re more courageous & creative when we "find our people".

The second objective is to support people into meaningful work. This is very broadly defined: you decide what is meaningful to you. It could be about your job, your family, or community volunteering. Generally, life is more meaningful when we are being of benefit to others, when we know how to contribute, when we can match our talents to the needs in the world.

we are a village of practice—a nurturing space to learn, grow, and heal together

we are a mycelial network—a web of interdependent relationships that flow care and nourishment to where it’s needed

we are a sandbox—a collaborative playspace to turn our ideas and gifts into meaningful and sustainable work projects

warm data labs are group processes, which highlight interdependency and generate understanding of systemic patterns for people with no previous exposure to systems theory.

as a tool for revealing relationships that are integral and woven into the complex fabric of the issues we are working on, the warm data lab process allows participants to see new patterns, new causations, and to respond to them with a much broader comprehension.

in this way, the warm data lab enables new societal responses to complex challenges.
